Kelly has spent decades perfecting the craft of homemade baking. From birthday cakes to artisan breads, she built a reputation for quality and comfort through her home bakery, Backroad Bakery.
But her journey into dog treats came from something even more personal — her family’s legacy of beloved dogs.
A Name Inspired by Family
The name Royal Dog Bakery isn’t just cute branding — it’s a tribute. Kelly chose the name to honor the dogs her father raised, whose names carried a regal charm that stuck with her throughout her life.
Those early memories became the foundation for a brand built on love, loyalty, and the belief that every dog deserves to be treated like royalty.
A Growing Family — and a Growing Pack
In 2024, life brought her two unexpected blessings: King and Prince, two rescue dogs who quite literally found their way to her home and chose to stay. They became instant family — and the newest taste testers for Royal Dog Bakery.

While Kelly leads the baking with decades of expertise, she’s far from alone. Her husband works right beside her, helping with:
